Nas Social Support Association, in partnership with the Oweis Al-Qarni Endowment, organized a training forum for Sphere Standards in Istanbul from May 1st to May 5th, 2024. The forum was attended by 22 trainees from humanitarian organizations and vital developmental fields. The forum’s activities over the five days focused on how to practically utilize Sphere Standards in humanitarian work, enhancing the capabilities of organizations and humanitarian workers.
The forum aimed to activate quality and accountability in humanitarian service delivery, as well as strengthen collaboration among organizations and stakeholders to implement internationally recognized standards and indicators outlined in the Sphere Standards.
This forum was held within the framework of a strong partnership between Nas Social Support Association and the Oweis Al-Qarni Endowment, which was one of the active partners in organizing the forum. The training at this forum was conducted by Dr. Mohammad Mahfouz Bay’ashoot, a trainer in Sphere Standards and the General Manager of Nas Social Support Association.
This forum underscores the association’s commitment to actively contribute to enhancing transparency and implementing internationally recognized standards and indicators for organizations operating in the humanitarian and developmental fields, in line with the association’s founding goals.
The training forum concluded on Sunday, May 5th, 2024, with the distribution of certificates to the participants, with hopes that the knowledge and training content will reflect positively on the humanitarian work provided to those in need within the participating humanitarian institutions.
