As part of its interest in contributing to poverty alleviation and preparing them for the labor market, the Turkish Nas Society for Social Support distributed sewing machines along with a training and empowerment program for 20 beneficiaries of the mothers of orphans in Taiz on September 28, 2020.
Training mothers in sewing is part of the Society’s programs to enable Yemeni women to engage in the labor market and contribute to alleviating poverty and covering some family needs.
It is worth noting that more than 75% of the Yemeni people live below the poverty line, according to recent United Nations reports.
